SG60 celebrations are still going strong – and we're putting the focus on what makes our community vibrant: the arts!
Here, we shine a light on WeCare Arts Fund, which supports outreach to the arts for beneficiaries in the social service sector. This fund enables agencies to partner with artists to run workshops, allowing beneficiaries to explore their personal and collaborative creativity!
In celebration of SG60, beneficiaries comprising youths and children from social services agencies across Singapore in the North West have created art pieces and installations that tell stories of Singapore's growth, pride and community spirit. These artworks will be on a month-long display at the National Gallery from 16 September to 12 October 2025.
Let's check out #ourNorthWest creations!

Social service agency: New Life Student Care Woodlands
Artwork medium: Recycled materials
This vibrant, two-part recycled art installation portrays Singapore as a thriving ant colony. Using materials like recycled egg cartons, bubble wraps, cardboard rolls, newspaper, and bottle caps, the young artists aged
7 to 12 transformed everyday discarded items into ants, leaves, and magnifying glasses, inviting viewers to discover the tiny yet powerful contributions of each individual.
Inspiration: “We imagined Singapore as a flourishing community in the form of an ant colony, where everyone works together, creating hope and a brighter future through teamwork and resilience.”

Piece: The Melting Pot of Singapore 2025
Artist: Artz Johan
Social service agency: Salvation Army
Art medium: 3D
Bursting with colour and symbolism, this collaborative 3D art installation expresses the hopes of children for a future in Singapore that is welcoming, inclusive and full of possibility. The lively artwork celebrates Singapore as a place where people of all backgrounds can live together in harmony.
Inspiration: “Singapore is a place where every culture belongs, every child can dream big,
and hope shines forward to the next generation.”
